Radiy Khabirov presented republican awards to two players of HC Salavat Yulaev

Today, the Acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, met with the team of the Salavat Yulaev hockey club and thanked them for “a very diverse season”. The Bashkir club won bronze medals in the KHL championship having lost in the Eastern Conference finals to Omsk Avangard.
According to Radiy Khabirov, the most significant achievement for Salavat Yulaev was the unity of the team and its fans.
“In the days of the playoffs, the whole republic was involved in hockey. We received a huge amount of positive energy and what was important: many began to believe in themselves. If you could snatch the victories like that, then, probably, something would work out for us too, ”noted the Acting Head of the republic.
The head coach of the Salavat Yulaev team Nikolay Tsulygin received special gratitude from the first person of the region.
“You strengthened, united the team. The team played rock-solid. It is now a rare thing. We all fulfill our obligations and feel confident about the future. I assure you that we will continue to support hockey!” said Radiy Khabirov.
The Acting Head of Bashkortostan handed over the goalkeeper of Salavat Yulaev Juha Metsola the Order of Salavat Yulaev, and the forward Teemu Hartikainen - the Order of Merit for the Republic of Bashkortostan. Radiy Khabirov received a hockey stick with autographs of all the players of the club as a gift from the team.
