Salavat Yulaev drops out from Gagarin Cup fight

The sixth match of the final series of the Eastern Conference of the KHL started with full stands in Ufa. It was the ninth consecutive sold-out in the Ufa ice palace. Though, the first 40 minutes of the game between Salavat Yulaev and Avangard passed without goals.
It is worth noting that there were only 4 minutes of penalties in the first two periods: Salavat Yulaev was penalized for too many players on the ice and Omsk for high sticking.
Radiy Khabirov, the Acting Head of Bashkiria, his wife and young son came to cheer for their home team.
However, in the last period rivals also did not reveal the winner. It was another overtime in the series. And again, the teams failed to break up the shut out.
In the second additional period, Salavat Yulaev made the whole Ufa-Arena nervous, but Metsola performed wonders. The Finnish player of the Ufa team recorded another super-save of the current playoffs on his count.
