Bashkiria draughts players - winners of Turkish Open International Tournament

The day before, on March 14, the World Cup in International Draughts - Turkish Open 2019 Tournament ended in Antalya. Athletes of the Bashkortostan Central Draughts Club climbed the prize podium twice: nine-time world champion Alexander Georgiev was the second, winner of the World Cup Final 2017 Aigul Idrisova – was the third among women.
Representatives of 11 federations from Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America participated in the traditional Turkish Open tournament, including 11 men and 7 women grandmasters. In the Russian national team, the majority were draughts players from Bashkortostan, leading an active struggle for a victory in the World Cup. Before the Turkish tournament, our athletes in the overall standings of 495 took the following places: Georgiev and Idrisova - second, Ainur Shaibakov and Tamara Tansykkuzhina in the top ten, further: Murodullo Amrillayev 11th, Aliya Aminova -15th.
According to the results of nine games for men, Alexander Georgiev and Yuri Anikeev scored 12 points and shared 1-2 places, followed by 9 more athletes with a 1 point lag. To accurately determine the occupied places a tournament coefficient was applied. The winner of the stage was Yuri Anikeev (Ukraine), the second was Alexander Georgiev (Russia, Bashkortostan), the third - Guntis Valneris (Latvia). Ainur Shaibakov was the 8th, Murodullo Amrillayev - 12th.
In the women's event, the current world champion Natalia Sadowska (Poland) won, the second was Zhao Hanqing (China), the third - the bronze medalist of the 2017 World Championships, Aygul Idrisova (Russia, Bashkortostan). Everyone had 10 points. The fourth was the five-time world champion Tamara Tansykkuzhina, who scored 9 points. Aliya Aminova - 12th (7 points), reported by the Central Draughts Club "Bashkortostan".
