On January 29, HC Salavat Yulaev met with Jokerit on home ice. The guests were the first to score. By the middle of the first period, Sakari Manninen hit the net of Salavat Yulaev. The home team was able to win back only in the second period. Jonas Kempainen equalized in the power play. Two minutes later, the Finnish players regained the advantage - 1: 2.

In the final period, Metsola missed the third puck shorthanded. Alex Grant scored a goal. Once again, Jokerit confirmed their power play success rate.

The coaching staff of the Bashkir team tried to remedy the situation by changing the goalkeeper to the sixth player and taking a time-out. But instead of scoring, Salavat Yulaev missed the fourth goal into an empty net - 1: 4.
