"Samrau" Ballooning Festival started in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the Samrau Ballooning Festival began. Today, January 23, 7 teams on 7 balloons, altogether - 17 people, took off from the site in front of the “Krasnousolsky” sanatorium.

For the first time in the history of ballooning, courageous teams from the cities of St. Petersburg, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kungur, Yoshkar-Ola and Ufa will try to fly in balloons over the Ural Mountains.

The flight will take place over the following points: Tukan, Uzyan village, Kraka range, Mukhametovo village.

The flight will last for eight hours - the entire day, the intended landing site - the area of Lake Yakty-Kul. There, at the weekend, the festival of Samrau air-balloons and the Digital-Kurultay forum will take place at the resort.

The air-movers are accompanied by a security service - a rapid response team ready to ride snowmobiles. Each balloon is equipped with a tracker, which in real time allows monitoring its movement.

The flight is organized by the Aeronautics Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Yakty-Kul sanatorium, the “Yubileiny” sanatorium and the “Polet” Aviation Club.
