A spectacular New Year's Eve match was held at the "Ufa-Arena" on December 28. HC Salavat Yulaev in the last match of 2018 hosted Kunlun Red Star. The ice stadium was filled with a little more than half - 5675 spectators witnessed the victory of the team of Nikolay Tsulygin. Hockey fans warmly welcomed the Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov at the VIP tribune.

The first period turned out to be rich in events: three pucks hit the net of the Chinese club performed by Hartikainen, Maiorov and forward Vladimir Tkachev, who last scored 30 matches back. Toward the end of the starting period the Salavat Yulaev’s rookie Maxim Rybin got into a fight and received a penalty till the end of the meeting.

In the second period, Ufa-Arena watched the penalties. And to the equator of the final period, another Salavat player, Pyotr Khokhryakov, went to the locker room until the end of the game for slashing. After that, guests shorthanded missed the puck by Vladimir Zharkov, who fought after the celebration of the goal.

Two minutes before the final siren, Hartikainen scored a double - 5: 0. The Finnish goalkeeper Juha Metsola made the next shutout. After the game was over, soft toys fell on the ice of the Ufa-Arena.
