First competition day of Russian-Chinese Youth Games began in Ufa

Yesterday the hockey team from the Celestial Kingdom conducted a training session on the ice of the complex under the guidance of coach Lu Weng.

“The training was normal, the ice was good and the surface was clean, it suited us very much, the arena itself is very beautiful,” the team coach shared his impressions. “We constantly prepared for these games, assembled a team from all over China, selected 22 players. The Chinese Hockey Federation has devoted a lot of time to us. Let's see what results we will achieve in Ufa. Now we have the Kunlun Red Star team in the Kontinental Hockey League. Its appearance has become a strong impetus for development. In the future, we will try to create a team that will participate in major international competitions. ”

Li Jianming, deputy head of the General Administration of Physical Culture and Sports of China, told reporters in an interview that he had visited several sports facilities in the Bashkir capital.

“I liked them, the city is beautiful. Winter sports are developed in the republic”, he noted. “We have been working out an issue regarding the venue of the next games so far. We expect the competitions to be successful, we hope for the continuation of cooperation in the field of youth sports”.
