Ufa native Semen Elistratov became fifth at Short Track World Cup in Kazakhstan

The representative of the Bashkir sport, the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games-2018 Semen Elistratov became the fifth at a distance of 1500 meters at the third stage of the Short Track World Cup in Kazakhstan's Almaty. All three prizes in this race went to the representatives of South Korea, reports "Sovetsky Sport".

“I have the highest tasks, like all athletes. This is hitting the top three at the European and World Championships. And the most important thing is to try at the same time to receive prizes and recover my strength, because the last season was Olympic and quite difficult”, said Semen Elistratov in an interview with prosports.kz.

The short tracker from Ufa missed the two previous stages of the World Cup due to family circumstances. In November, the 28-year-old athlete had a son.
