Coach from Bashkir village became winner of National Sports Award 2018

Olga Izilaeva, a swimming coach from the village of Nikolo-Berezovka, Krasnokamsky District of Bashkiria, won the 2018 National Sports Award. She became the winner in the category "Sport for All" in the category "The best organizer of physical culture and sports work in rural areas." The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the National Sports Award took place in Moscow.

“It's really worthy to stand here on this stage, to represent my republic, my Krasnokamsky district and my organization - the Prikamye sports and recreation complex. I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the support that you provided me during the contest. I am just doing my favorite job and I will continue to do it”, said Olga Izilaeva, receiving a high award from the hands of the renowned rhythmic gymnastics coach Irina Viner.

The National Sports Award was established by the Government of the Russian Federation in 2010 in order to stimulate the professional activities of athletes, coaches, and specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.

The award includes 11 nominations. According to the results of the work of the expert council and the popular vote, 54 nominees were announced at the awards ceremony, 18 of which became winners.

The hockey player Pavel Datsyuk, figure skater Alina Zagitova, coach of the national football team Stanislav Cherchesov and others also won the award this year.
