Ufa native Anton Babikov won sprint race at first stage of IBU Biathlon Cup

The trainee of the Bashkir sport, Ufa native Anton Babikov, was the first to finish the sprint race at the first stage of the IBU Biathlon Cup. The second place was taken by the representative of France Aristide Begue, the third - the German Lucas Fratzscher.

“Sometimes you need a step back, then to take two steps forward,” said Anton Babikov after the victory.

IBU Cup stage takes place in Swedish Idre. Previously, Babikov was not able to get into the Russian team to compete at the December World Cup.
