The Ufa biathlete Anton Babikov won a sprint race at the first stage of the IBU Cup in the Swedish Idre. Today, on November 29, he passed both shooting ranges without missing and showed an excellent speed. The second was the Frenchman Aristide Begue, the third - the German Lucas Fratzscher. The top ten also included representatives of the Russian national team Sergey Korastylev and Yuri Shopin, according to the website of the Russian Biathlon Union.

The first stage of the World Cup will be held in Slovenia from December 2 to 9, where medals in the pursuit race, individual race, mixed and single mixed relay, and sprint will be competed for. By decision of the coaching staff of the Russian national team, another representative of the Bashkir biathlon school, Eduard Latypov, will take part in the first starts of the World Cup.
