31 cities confirmed participation in Summer International Children's Games -2019 in Ufa

Ufa’s readiness for the 53rd Summer International Children Games - 2019 was reported by the deputy head of the city administration, Rustem Gazizov. The official noted that about 1,500 athletes from 80 cities and 35 countries would arrive in the city in the summer of 2019. 31 cities from South Korea, Thailand, Slovakia, Israel, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Mexico, Holland, and Australia confirmed their participation in ICG in the capital of Bashkiria.

“The opening ceremony of the games is planned to be organized at the “Neftyanik” stadium”, Rustem Gazizov said. “The closing ceremony will take place in the territory of Vatan Park”.

Still, ICG-2019 accepts applications from volunteers. At this point just over 400 volunteers are willing to help in organizing the competitions. Total, 600 volunteers are required.

Also, the deputy mayor of Ufa specified that for the residents of the city all the events of the Summer International Children's Games would be free of charge, including the opening and closing ceremonies.

Recall, Ufa will host ICG for the second time. For the first time, the city organized such winter competitions in 2013. The 53rd International Children's Games will be held in July 2019.

During his last visit to Ufa, the President of the ICG Committee Torsten Rush said that the organizers would try to surprise the residents and guests of the capital of the republic.
