Two Bashkiria athletes will represent Russia at World Speed Skating Cup

UFA, 31 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The coaching staff of the Russian speed skating team after the national championship in Kolomna defined the composition of the athletes who will compete at the World Cup.

The competition was attended by three representatives of the Bashkir sport: Timur Zakharov, Victor Lobas and Ruslan Zakharov. The latter represents the Vologda region and St. Petersburg.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports RB, Timur Zakharov won a bronze medal in the mass start, behind Ruslan Zakharov (2nd place) and Danila Semerikov (1st place) ahead. Victor Lobas showed the 4th result at 1000 and 1500 meters distances.

The final list of the team includes 23 skaters who will defend the country's honor at the World Cup on November 16-18 in Obihiro (Japan) and November 23-25 in Tomakomai (Japan).

Men. Ruslan Zakharov, Pavel Kulizhnikov, Denis Yuskov, Ruslan Murashov, Alexey Yesin, Victor Mushtakov, Artem Kuznetsov, Sergey Gryaztsov, Sergey Trofimov, Alexander Rumyantsev, Danila Semerikov, Victor Lobas, Mikhail Kazelin, Alexander Podolsky.

Women. Olga Fatkulina, Ekaterina Shikhova, Natalia Voronina, Angelina Golikova, Daria Kachanova, Anastasia Korkina, Elizaveta Kazelina, Evgenia Lalenkova, Elena Sokhryakova.
