Bashkiria athlete won bronze medal at World Rowing and Canoeing Championships

Ilya Pervukhin, a representative of Bashkiria, won a bronze medal at the World Canoeing Championships in Portugal. As part of the Russian team, he, along with Kirill Shamshurin finished third in the canoe deuce at a distance of 1000 meters.

Also, the Russians at the World Championships were represented by another trainee of the Bashkir sport Oleg Sinyavin. He took the fourth place in the quartet of kayakers at a distance of 1000 meters.

The Russian national team took the third place in the team event; silver medals went to Hungary, gold medals to Germany.
