HC Salavat Yulaev played with its "gold team"

UFA, 22 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Salavat Yulaev hockey club before a new season start held the traditional Fan's Day, where the new outfit and new members of the team were presented.
The event began with a solemn ceremony of raising flags in memory of veterans of the team - one of the best strikers in the history of the club Gennady Zaikin, strikers Nikolai Alferov and Sergei Devyatirikov. In the 70-80s, each of them played for the Ufa club for more than ten seasons.
As previously reported by Bashinform News Agency, this year the club decided to mark the beginning of the season with the game of two teams of Salavat Yulaev - the current one and the team of 2007/2008, when the Ufa club for the first time in its history won the Champion Cup. The match was attended by Vladimir Antipov, Michal Mikska, Radek Philippe, Andrei Taratukhin, Dimitri Tarasov, Ruslan Nurtdinov, Igor Grigorenko and other former players.
The confrontation was conducted as the KHL All-Stars Match - the players of the two teams competed in accuracy, speed, and artistry.
Anton Burdasov showed the most powerful throw (94 km per hour), the most effective bullet was made by Linus Omark. The presenters Dmitry Belyaush and Azamat Muratov also scored goals.
The announced match between the two compositions of HC Salavat Yulaev ended with a score of 5:9 in favor of the gold team.
In April 2008, Salavat Yulaev was the first to win the regular championship, and then the last champion of Russia, in the fifth, decisive match, having beaten the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv - 4: 1. Next seasons hockey battles were already held as part of the Kontinental Hockey League.
Next time the fans will be able to see their favorite team next Saturday. From August 25 to 28, Ufa will host a traditional "Cup of the Republic of Bashkortostan", with the participation of Neftekhimik, Barys, and Avtomobilist.
