HC Salavat Yulaev lost to HC Metallurg in Chelyabinsk Region Governor’s Cup

The Ufa Salavat Yulaev scored one point after the first official match in the Chelyabinsk Region Governor’s Cup. Nikolai Tsulygin’s players were beaten by Magnitogorsk Metallurg during extra time with a score of 1: 2.

Both teams played on the "Tractor-Arena" in an alternative pre-season form. The Salavat Yulaev players managed to take the lead in the second period after a shot by Vladimir Tkachev. However, the Ufa team failed to increase the score.

In four minutes before the final siren, HC Salavat Yulaev missed a puck shorthanded. In extra time, HC Metallurg brought the match to victory, having shot the Metso’s net for the second time.

HC Salavat Yulaev will hold the next match in the preseason tournament with Omsk Avangard on August 15.
