Ufa VC Ural player is called up to Russian national team for World Cup preparation

The volleyball player of the Ufa club Ural was called up to the Russian national team to prepare for the World Cup. The 27-year-old middle blocker Igor Filippov was invited to the team of Sergei Shlyapnikov for the second time, the press service of the VC Ural reports.

Filippov made his debut as a member of the national team at the international tournament of the League of Nations, which he won together with partners.

Last season, Igor Filippov played for the Ufa club 25 matches and scored 222 points (134 - in the attack, 67 - on the block and 21 - serves).
