Athletes from Bashkiria won medals at International Children's Games in Jerusalem

UFA, 2 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. International Children's Games started in Jerusalem. On the first day of the games, Bashkir judoists, representing not only Ufa, but the whole country, won three awards: Alexander Pavlov and Nail Gareev - won silver medals, and Arseniy Voevodin – a bronze medal.

Ufa epee fencer Emil Faiziev became a silver medalist. And participants from Bashkortostan Polina Haertdinova, Anastasia Golubkova and Anastasia Kazakova took silver in the team tournament.

13 athletes from Ufa take part in the 52nd International Children's Games in Israel. A total of 1500 participants aged between 12 and 15 will attend the Games, which will compete in nine disciplines: track and field, streetball, basketball, fencing, football, judo, swimming, tennis and volleyball.

In 2019 Ufa will take over the torch from Jerusalem. The decree on the preparation and conduct of the Games was signed by the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov.
