The Boston Bruins team chose an 18-year-old Bashkir hockey representative Pavel Shen, who recently returned to his homeland.

"The defender of the "Red Deer Rebels", 18-year-old Alexander Alexeyev, the rights to which belong to the Ufa team, was drafted under the 31st number by the Washington Capitals", the official website of HC Salavat Yulaev reports.

20 Russians were chosen at the last NHL draft in seven rounds. According to experts, this is the highest indicator for the last 14 years.
