Russian national team won national team of Egypt

The match, held in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, June 19, ended with a score of 3: 1 in favor of the Russians.

The Stanislav Cherchesov’s team came forward in the second period when the Egyptian defender Ahmed Fathi scored a goal into his own net. In the 59th minute, Denis Chelyshev hit the net of the opponent and the score became 2-0, and just three minutes later Artem Dzyuba scored a goal again.

In the 73rd minute, the forward of the Egyptian national team Mohamed Salah realized a penalty and reduced a goal deficit. But despite this, the Russian team scored 6 points. Recall that in the first round, it defeated the team of Saudi Arabia with a score of 5: 0. Due to the today's victory, Russians reached 1/8 for the first time in 32 years.
