Bashkiria fencers Timur Safin and Timur Arslanov became European champions in fencing

UFA, 20 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Two trainees of the Bashkir fencing won the gold medals of the European Championship. Timur Safin and Timur Arslanov rose to the first stage of the podium in Serbia as part of the Russian national team.

First, the Russian fencers won the host team (45:25), then Ukrainians failed to overplay the national team of our country. In the semifinals, our athletes were stronger than the French.

Timur Safin and Timur Arslanov competed in the final matches. The Bashkir foil-fencers together with their colleagues had a fight with the Italian national team (45:38).

It should be noted that 14 teams took part in the European Fencing Championship.
