Ufa will host Russian Archery Championship

UFA, 1 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Ufa will host the Russian Archery Championship at the Akbuzat racetrack from June 2 to 5. The organizers of the event are the Russian Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic, the Archery Federation of Russia and the Archery Federation of Bashkortostan.

The sports forum will be attended by about 300 athletes from 29 regions. The Republic of Bashkortostan will be represented by 26 archers from Meleuz, Ufa, Salavat, and Birsk, including six masters of sport, four members of the Russian national team, winners and prize holders of the previous Russian Championship in Alushta, Rukhulla Nabil and Stanislav Cheremiskin.

The Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Ivanuta, the President of the Russian Federation of Archery Vladimir Esheev and other honored guests will take part in an opening ceremony.

In recent years archery has been actively developing in Bashkortostan. Currently, there are eight branches, where more than 600 athletes train. Since 2018, archery has been included in the list of basic sports in the region.
