Ufa fencer Timur Safin took silver at Grand Prix tournament in Shanghai

A bronze medalist of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ufa sportsman Timur Safin won a silver medal of the Grand Prix fencing for the second time in a row. He rose on the second step of the podium in Shanghai after a similar competition in Turin.

"Safin in this season was the only foil fencer who in all the Grand Prix tournaments entered the top eight. In addition to the two second places, he became the fifth in Anaheim (USA) ", it is reported on the official website of the Russian Fencing Federation.

Timur Safin lost to the British fencer Richard Kruse in a final duel - 13:15.
