Two Salavat Yulaev hockey players are among most highly paid in KHL

UFA, 4 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. Two players of HC Salavat Yulaev are among the most highly paid hockey players of the KHL. Forwards Anton Burdasov and Linus Omark took the 17th and 29th places respectively in the ranking of salaries of the League, compiled by Sports.ru. The salary of Anton Burdasov is estimated at $1.8 million a year, the Swedish player Linus Omark - $ 1.4 million per year. The figures are exclusive of taxes and premiums.

According to the sports media, the trainee of the Ufa Salavat Yulaev, the Olympic champion Andrei Zubarev, who competes for SKA, earns $ 1.6 million a year.

The top three most highly paid hockey players includes three SKA players: Ilya Kovalchuk and Pavel Datsyuk (both $ 4.4 million a year) and Vyacheslav Voinov ($ 3.1 million per year).

Total, representatives of 12 KHL clubs reached the Top 50 salary rating: 16 of them competes for SKA, 13 - for CSKA, five for Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) and Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl), three for Ak Bars and Avangard. It is noteworthy that the salary rating does not include any hockey player of the Chelyabinsk Traktor, which managed to knock out Salavat Yulaev from the struggle for the Gagarin Cup.

Earlier, at a meeting of the board of KHL directors, a new "salary cap" was approved. The maximum amount of awards in clubs in the season 2018/2019 should not exceed 850 million rubles.
