Erkka Westerlund will remain head coach of HC Salavat Yulaev

The contract with the Finnish coach was signed according to the "1 + 1" scheme with a possibility of extending for another season with a mutual agreement of the parties, the media recalls. Currently, the team is completed taking into account the wishes of the head coach.

Earlier, at a press conference on the results of the seventh match in the series between Salavat Yulaev and Traktor, which was the last for the Salavat Yulaev team in this season, Erkka Westerlund stated that the issue of continuing his career at the Ufa club remained unsolved.

"I do not know what the club thinks about this, and I do not know it myself," Westerlund said.
