USPTU Department head became silver medalist of Lisbon Half Marathon

UFA, 20 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, hosted the fastest European 28th Lisbon Half Marathon having gold status according to the IAAF International Athletics Federation.

More than 30,000 runners from more than 40 countries took part in the competition.

The Lisbon half marathon is an official international race, included in the calendar of the Association of Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). From year to year the best sportsmen of the world take part in this competition, which run a distance of 21097 meters. The start of the race is located on Portazhen Square, then crosses the bridge across the Tagus River to the finish line in the area of the Hieronymite Monastery. One of its main features is a unique route passing through the 25th April Bridge, from which a beautiful panorama of the city opens.

Head of the department "Machines and Equipment of Oil and Gas Fields" of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), Yamaliev won the second place in the category "MASTERS 60+", behind only the European champion from Portugal.
