Swimming pool and ski-track will be built after sports complex in Mezhgorye

UFA, 16 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Stanislav Shahov/. In the city of Mezhgorye a universal sports complex was opened after the reconstruction renovated according to the republican program "100 facilities for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan".
The sports complex built on this site by military builders became obsolete. In 2013, an independent examination found it unsuitable for safe operation. Due to this, almost 30% of the city population were left without an opportunity to go in for sports. Residents of the city addressed a letter to Rustem Khamitov asking for help and the head of the republic instructed to examine the issue.
The cost of reconstruction amounted to 108.7 million rubles. Over the past 10 years, this is the first facility built in the city; the last one was an apartment building.
“There is a universal gym, where eight courts for badminton, volleyball, basketball and football grounds, gym and wrestling halls, a ski base can work simultaneously. The grounds meet the standards of holding republican and all-Russian competitions,” says Victor Nikiforuk.
As the head of the Mezhgorye administration Viktor Panchenko said, the city applied for construction of another social facility in the city - a swimming pool, and funds for construction of a modern ski-track route was also allocated in the budget for the next year.
As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, until the end of 2018 in Bashkiria it is planned to complete the construction and reconstruction of 21 facilities by the 100th anniversary of the republic. The largest "jubilee" construction projects that will be completed within a year are schools for 1,225 pupils in Sterlitamak and 825 pupils in the village of Bakaly.
The anniversary of the republic will be celebrated in 2019. By this time, 106 objects have to be built and repaired: 18 kindergartens, 17 schools, 13 complex facilities that combine educational, socio-cultural institutions, seven sports and recreation complexes, five community centres, four swimming pools, four ice rinks and others.
