Petersson hat-trick assisted Avangard to defeat Salavat Yulaev in second play-off match

UFA, 6 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. Salavat Yulaev and Avangard immediately started their second play-off match with vigorous activity. By the end of the first period, the Omsk team improved their yesterday's result, having scored two goals in nine seconds. Goals were scored by André Petersson and Ansel Galimov - 0: 2. Salavat Yulaev players tried to play back before the break, but Dominik Fourkh was safe.

To the equator of the second frame Omsk hockey players for the third time hit Ivan Nalimov’s net. Then Grigory Panin successfully completed assists by Omark and Larsen and got one back. Next, exactly a minute after Panin’s goal, Vladimir Tkachev struck the net of Avangard. However, Pyotr Khokhryakov quickly made it 4-2. Three minutes before the break Avangard confidently scored the next goal - 5: 2.

Before the start of the third period, Salavat Yulaev replaced Ivan Nalimov to Andrey Kareyev. Five seconds after the face-off Linus Omark earned a five-minute penalty for slashing. Petersson took advantage of the power play and scored a hat trick. But the defeat was continued by Semyon Koshelev to complete the scoring on the night: - 7: 2.

The series scoring is 1: 1. Teams are departing to Omsk. Matches will be held on March 7 and 8.
