Bronze medalist of Olympics-2018 Semen Elistratov shared his plans to return to Ufa

The Russian short tracker Semen Elistratov, who won a bronze medal of the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang at a distance of 1500 meters, among other sportsmen returned to Russia on February 26. However, the athlete will not come back to his native Ufa soon - in March Elistratov will compete at the World Short Track Championship, preparations for which begin now. Competitions will be held in Canada's Montreal from March 16 to 18.

"I'm going to Ufa only in a month, because now the training and preparation for the World Cup will begin. The training will take one and a half weeks," TASS quotes the athlete.

Elistratov admitted to journalists that on arrival he did not expect to see so many fans at the airport.

"Already many days have passed, I have forgotten a little those emotions. I was just glad and proud that I managed to do it. I am very grateful to those people who back up me, because without them I would not have done it", Semen Elistratov said.
