Salavat Yulaev’s goalkeeper Ben Skrivens was injured but reached semi-finals at Olympics-2018

UFA, 22 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. On February 21, the men's teams of Canada and Finland met in the quarterfinals of the Olympics in South Korea. The outcome of the match was unclear until the very end. As a result, the Canadian team reached the semi-finals having beaten the Finns 1: 0. The Canadians scored a winning goal in the middle of the third period. But before that there was a moment in the game with participation of the goalkeeper of the HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) Ben Scrivens.
At the beginning of the second frame the goalkeeper was injured during a clash with the Finnish forward Veli-Matti. Then the net of the Canadian national team was defended by Kevin Poulain.
The Finnish foreign players of Salavat Yulaev Joonas Kemppainen and Teemu Hartikainen are returning to the capital of Bashkortostan. Scrivens still remains at the disposal of the Canadian team: in the semifinal match he will play against the team of Germany.
In the semi-finals, hockey players from Russia will play against the Czech Republic.
