Venue for most popular race "Ski Track of Russia 2018" is defined in Ufa

UFA, 9 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. On February 10, a mass ski race "Russian Ski Track 2018" will be held in Bashkiria. In our republic, the city of Ufa was chosen as its central venue. The race will be held at the Akbuzat racetrack. The grand opening will take place at 12.00. The awarding ceremony is scheduled for 14.20.

Anyone can take part in the race: both professional athletes and amateurs. The appropriate distances will be selected for each category of participants. It is possible to register for participation in administrations of districts and cities, as well as in advance at the venue itself, the press service of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports RB informs.

The purpose of the competition is to attract adults and young people to regular skiing, further development and promotion of physical culture and sports among the population. The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, the Federation of Cross Country Skiing in Russia and the executive bodies in the field of physical culture and sports of the subjects of the Russian Federation.

"The Ski Track of Russia" is held annually since 1982. The number of its participants increases from year to year. If in 2016 in Bashkortostan 44 thousand people took part in the race, in 2017 this figure reached 50 thousand.
