Rima Batalova: "Russian athletes appeal is justice victory"

The cancellation of lifelong suspension of Russian athletes from the Olympics is recognition by the world community that the competitions are impossible without us. This was stated by the State Duma deputy from Bashkortostan, 13-time Paralympic champion Rima Batalova.

Yesterday it became known that the Sports Arbitration Court in Lausanne partially satisfied the appeals of 11 Russian athletes, replacing the life suspension from the Olympic Games with a ban on participation in the Games in Pyeongchang. These are the bobsledder Alexander Zubkov, Alexei Voevoda, Alexander Kasyanov, Alexei Pushkarev, Ilvir Khuzin, skiers Julia Ivanova, Julia Chekaleva, Anastasia Dotsenko, hockey players Galina Skiba, Anna Shibanova, Inna Dubanok. They will miss only one Olympics.
