Bashkir bobsledder Ilvir Khuzin's lifetime disqualification is canceled

UFA, 1 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The lifelong suspension of 11 athletes from the Olympics was replaced with suspension from one of the Games-2018. The Bashkir bobsledder Ilvir Khuzin is among these athletes. The Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in Lausanne partially satisfied the appeals of Russian athletes, TASS reports.

These 11 athletes includes bobsledders Alexander Zubkov, Alexei Voevoda, Alexander Kasyanov, Alexei Pushkarev, Ilvir Khuzin, skiers Julia Ivanova, Julia Chekaleva, Anastasia Dotsenko, hockey players Galina Skiba, Anna Shibanova, Inna Dubanok. Their results from the Games in Sochi are still canceled, their fault in violation of anti-doping rules is established, but they will miss only one Olympics.

Let's recap that ealier the Oswald commission was engaged in rechecking doping-samples of participants of Sochi Olympic Games in 2014. As a result of the commission’s work 43 Russian athletes were suspended for life from participation in the Olympics, and their results shown at the Games-2014, were canceled. Alexander Zubkov, Dmitry Trunenkov, Alexei Negodailo, Alexander Kasyanov, Alexei Pushkarev, Ilvir Khuzin, Olga Stulneva, Alexei Voyevoda, Lyudmila Ustokina, Maxim Belugin (all bobsleigh), Alexander Tretyakov, Sergei Chudinov, Elena Nikitina, Olga Potylitsyna, Maria Orlova (all skeleton), Alexander Legkov, Evgeny Belov, Maxim Vylegzhanin, Alexey Petukhov, Yulia Ivanova, Evgenia Shapovalova, Yulia Chekaleva, Anastasia Dotsenko, Nikita Kryukov, Alexander Bessmertnykh, Natalya Matveeva (all - ski races), Olga Fatkulina , Alexander Rumyantsev, Ivan Skobrev, Artem Kuznetsov (speed skating), Ekaterina Lebedeva, Galina Skiba, Anna Shibanova, Ekaterina Smolentseva, Ekaterina Pashkevich, Inna Dubanok, Tatiana Burina, Anna Shchukina (hockey), Tatyana Ivanova and Albert Demchenko (luge), Olga Vilukhina, Yana Romanova, Olga Zaitseva (biathlon) were put under the IOC sanctions.
