Ufa speed skater Ruslan Zakharov after banning from Olympics-2018 by IOC prepares for Games in Beijing

UFA, 24 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. Yesterday it became known that Ruslan Zakharov, an athlete from Ufa, now competing for the Moscow region in speed skating, will not go to the Olympics in Pyeongchang. IOC did not include the Ufa skater in the list of potential participants in the Games in Pyeongchang.
The entire sports community of the country was outraged after a decision of the International Olympic Committee, as more than 20 athletes were denied access to the competition.
After the news, Ruslan Zakharov published a photo on his page that he shortly signed: "The road to Beijing-2022". Probably, the skater has reconciled with the decision of the IOC and has already begun to prepare for the Olympic Games in China.
The biathlete Anton Shipulin, skier Sergei Ustyugov, skaters Denis Yuskov, Pavel Kulizhnikov, Ruslan Zakharov, short trackers Victor An, Vladimir Grigoriev, Denis Hairapetyan, Artem Kozlov, Evgenia Zakharova, Tatyana Borodulina, luge athlete Tatiana Ivanova, Victoria Demchenko, hockey players Anton Belov, Alexei Bereglazov, Mikhail Naumenkov, Valery Nichushkin, Sergei Plotnikov, figure skaters Xenia Stolbova, Ivan Bukin, bobsledders Roman Koshelev and Julia Shokshuyeva were among those who were banned from participation in the 2018 Olympics.
