Timur Safin won silver medal of Russian Fencing Cup

UFA, 24 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. The Russian Foil Fencing Cup among men was hosted by the city of Smolensk. Bashkiria at the competition was represented by the Olympic champion Timur Safin and his colleague Timur Arslanov. And the fellow countrymen competed with each other in the quarterfinals, where the more experienced Timur Safin took the upper hand.

The Olympic champion reached the semi-finals, where he met with a fencer from the Yaroslavl region Alexander Sirotkin. The latter made 15 touches of the opponent against 14, according to the official website of the Russian Fencing Federation. As a result, Timur Safin won the silver medal of the Russian Cup.
