Semen Elistratov as part of Russian national team was fourth at Short Track World Cup

UFA, 21 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. In South Korea's city of Seoul skaters gathered to take part in the Short Track World Cup stage and to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The national team of Russia was represented by a sportsman from Bashkortostan Semen Elistratov.

Russians in the composition of Victor An, Semen Elistratov, Denis Hairapetyan and Alexander Shulginov won the fourth place in the 5000 meters relay.

"As a result of the competition Elistratov became the ninth at a distance of 500 meters, 22nd at a distance of 1000 meters," the press service of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of Bashkortostan specified.

The Russian national short track team has won the maximum number of quotas for the upcoming Olympic Games. Teams from South Korea, China, Canada, Hungary, Japan, the Netherlands and Russia received per 10 participants.
