Three wheelchair foil fencers from Bashkiria will represent Russia at World Championships in Italy

UFA, 7 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. Today, on November 7, Rome will host the World Fencing Championship among wheelchair athletes. The Russian national team includes three athletes from Bashkortostan: Albert Kamalov, Timur Hamashin and Nikita Nagaev.

"We set only the highest goals for ourselves. Our main competitor will be the Chinese team, but at the same time there are very strong athletes in a number of other countries teams - for example, in Italy, England, Ukraine and some others", said the head coach of the national team in international competitions Elena Belkina.

According to the information of the coaching staff, today many foil fencers dropped in the ratings due to missing the Paralympic Games 2016 and two World Cups. But the athletes are determined to win the medals of the current championship.
