Rustem Khamitov instructed Government to support young alpine skiers

Yesterday, on a personal reception of citizens, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov discussed possibilities of financing young athletes training with the alpine skiing coach-instructor, Ufa resident Sergei Tishchenko, who works at the Sports School of Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

On behalf of the Head of the Republic, the teacher organized training of promising young athletes and teaching staff within the framework of the self-developed program "Young Talents of Bashkortostan". At the same time many of the skiers already show good results and have a high sports potential.

According to the Head of the region, the alpine skiing is one of the most important for the region in terms of sport, tourism and active recreation development. Taking into account the natural and climatic conditions of Bashkortostan, the development of the industry should be large-scale and systemic. It should not only relate to training athletes, but also cover construction of complexes and training grounds of international level, modern infrastructure.

"Now it is important to find resources for the next summer, so that the group of our promising children, our future champions has opportunities to visit training camps", stressed Rustem Khamitov.

The head of the republic instructed the Government of Bashkortostan to work out a possibility of providing the necessary assistance.
