Salavat Yulaev lost to Magnitogorsk Metallurg at home

UFA, 27 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. The events in the HC Salavat Yulaev – HC Metallurg match developed rapidly. Rivals swiftly passed a blue line of the opponent’s zone and tried to hit the net. The home team managed to do it first: Jonas Kemppainen scored a goal. And in this episode he was assisted by the Swedish forward Linus Umark, who earned 250 points in the KHL.

After the break, the teams reduced their pressure. By the end of the second period, guests from Magnitogorsk two times in succession remained shorthanded. But the goal was scored by Metallurg Vladislav Kaletnik - 1: 1.

15 seconds after the start of the third period, Salavat Yulaev remained shorthanded and immediately missed the second goal - 1: 2. A small sector of the Magnitogorsk fans exulted over it.

In the end of the match Metallurg remained shorthanded again. However, the guests managed to hit the net of the Ufa ice hockey team, as it put the sixth player instead of the goalkeeper. But it was a mistake - in a minute the guests increased the gap - 1: 4.

"The first period of Salavat Yulaev was one of the best in this season, but in the second leg of the match, Metallurg changed tactics" Erkka Westerlund the head coach of the Salavat Yulaev team said. "We should attack more".
