HC Salavat Yulaev goalkeeper is called up to Canadian national team

UFA, 25 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. The 31-year-old goalkeeper of HC Salavat Yulaev Ben Scrivens received a place in the national team of Canada. The goalkeeper was called up to protect the colors of his native country at the Karjala Cup, which matches will be held from November 8 to 12. This was officially announced by the press service of the Ufa hockey club Salavat Yulaev.

"Canadians will start participating in the tournament with a match against the Swiss team in Biel on November 8. Then the national team of Canada will go to Helsinki, where it will play against the teams of Sweden and Finland on November 10 and 12", is confirmed on Salavat Yulaev’s website.

The Karjala Cup is an annual hockey tournament. Since 1996 it has been held within the framework of the Euro Hockey Tour.

Recall that in 2016 the main trophy of the Scandinavian tournament was won by the Russian national team.
