Associated Press published article about Bashkortostan capital and HC Salavat Yulaev

UFA, 24 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/. The reason for the publication of an article about the capital of Bashkortostan and the Ufa hockey club Salavat Yulaev on the pages of one of the largest international news agency Associated Press was a statement of the National Hockey League: it is planned to prohibit its players to compete for national teams of their countries at the Olympics in Pyeongchang (South Korea). That's why the team of Canada intends to make Ben Scrivens its main goalkeeper.
“Located just west of the Urals, that divide Europe from Asia, Ufa is a city of 1 million known for its oil industry and traditionally liberal brand of Islam. Hockey games in the city's 8,000-capacity arena feature a passionate section of hardcore fans”, it is stated in the article of the international media about Ufa.
Scrivens admits that he still does not believe that the NHL will not let the players of the league to compete at the Olympic Games in South Korea. But, if this happens, and the Salavat Yulaev player will be the main goalkeeper of the Canadian team, then most likely he will have to fight for the podium with the Russian hockey players.
“I’m still anticipating that something’s going to happen with the NHL, that they’re going to be able to come,” he says. “Nothing is certain until it’s already going on. Until they announce final rosters, or until it really is done, all I can do is try and play my game here and make sure that if I do get the opportunity to go, that I’m ready”, Scrivens says.
Recall that the Associated Press journalist James Ellingworth came to the capital of Bashkortostan to talk with Ben Scrivens personally on October 4. On this day, HC Salavat Yulaev had a match against St. Petersburg SKA on Ufa Arena. Then the guests from the northern capital of Russia defeated the local team with a score of 6: 1.
