Bashkiria athletes became European champions in sport acrobatics and bench press

UFA, 17 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. In Poland, the European Championship in sports acrobatics was completed. Russia and Bashkortostan in these competitions was represented by a mixed pair - Anastasia Chaganova and Nikita Ignatiev from the city of Oktyabrsky under the guidance of the well-known coach Olesya Mullagalieva. Bashkir athletes performed in the age group 11-16 years. Their rivals were athletes from ten countries. Due to their bright, technical performance, our athletes were ahead of all rivals and won a gold medal.

This victory was preceded by long months of hard training, participation and successful performances in competitions of Russian and regional levels, in the championship of Russia, as well as participation in the All-Russian competitions in sports acrobatics, which are held annually in the city of Oktyabrsky.

The same days, from October 11 to 15, the European Bench Press Championship was held in La Manga, among juniors, veterans and in the open age category.

The best in the weight category up to 66 kilograms again a sportsman from the city of Oktyabrsky Yan Urusov became, who not only won the championship gold, but also set a new record for Europe, raising 242.5 kg.

The Russian national team became the winner of the championship and in the team classification. The second place went to Germany, the third to Finland.
