Bashkir high jumper Danil Lysenko received gratitude from Russian Government

The Government of the Russian Federation has expressed gratitude to a number of Russian athletes for competing at the World Championships 2017 in London, according to the official Internet portal of legal information. Among them there is the high jumper Maria Lasitskene, long jumper Daria Klishina. Also gratitude for high sport achievements at the tournament in London was received by the walker Sergei Shirobokov, runner Sergei Shubenkov, hammer thrower Valery Pronkin and the Bashkir sport representative, jumper Danil Lysenko.

The World Cup in London was held from August 4 to 13. Russian athletes competed at a neutral status due to the suspension of All-Russia Athletic Federation and won one gold and five silver medals. Lasitskene became the World Champion. Klishina, Shirobokov, Shubenkov, Lysenko and Pronkin won silver medals.
