Bashkortostan residents can join All-Russian Walking Day

UFA, 18 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. From September 30 to October 1 the All-Russian Walking Day will be held in 50 regions of the country, reports RussiaRunning. 160 countries of the world participate annually in the World Walking Day under the motto "Go out and prolong your life". Three years ago Russia joined them with the Russian Olympic Committee as the organizer of the event.

The organizers want to draw people's attention to the most natural and easy kind of physical activity with this sport-mass event.

In past years, the All-Russian Walking Day was held in the form of a relay race in time zones. This year's program will not be limited to one day. Anyone can take part in the activities of the Walking Day, regardless of age, gender and level of physical fitness. Routes are laid in such a way that everyone can cope with them. In many regions the festival will take place not in sports facilities, but in city parks, where you can come with families and friends.

Those who want to join the large-scale project will be able to register online from September 24, receive a start number by mail and have a walk with friends and relatives in their hometown, thus expanding the geography of the holiday.
