Draughts players from Bashkiria will perform at World Cup stage in Mongolia

UFA, 21 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. From July 21 to July 27 in the capital of Mongolia - Ulan Bator - the World Cup stage for International Draughts will take place - the tournament "Mongolia Open". Bashkortostan will be presented by Aigul Idrisova, Ainur Shaibakov, Alexander Georgiev (Ufa) and Murodullo Amrillaev (Sterlitamak). Total, more than 60 athletes from Europe and Asia will participate in the competitions.

According to the Federation of Draughts RB, after three stages Alexander Georgiev leads with 849 points in the overall standings of the 2017 World Cup. Ainur Shaibakov is sixth with 522 points, Murodullo Amrillaev - 11th (419 points). Aigul Idrisova is the fifth with 550 points among women. Sportsmen of the republic will have a difficult fight in one of the strongest international tournaments. At least they should get to the top ten after all stages of the World Cup and reach the final.

Last year's World Cup final was held in Ufa. Twenty sportsmen (10 men and 10 women) performed in it, six of them were from Bashkortostan. Then Aigul Idrisova won in the women's finals.
