All-Russian Olympic Day will be celebrated in Bashkiria

UFA, 22 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. On June 24, the All-Russian Olympic Day will be celebrated across Russia. This year, the holiday will be dedicated to the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang. Recall that in 2016 the Olympic Day was timed to the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, in 2015 - the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 35th anniversary of the 22nd Olympic Games in 1980 in Moscow.

On this day throughout the republic mass sports events will be carried out, where participants and guests will enjoy various competitions, contests and prizes, as well as meetings and master classes from famous sportsmen of Bashkortostan.

Ufa will be the main venue for future Olympians in the region. In the coming Saturday Kashkadan Park will host a sports festival for teenagers and young people. Start of the events is at 12 o'clock.

The organizers of the All-Russian Olympic Day are the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports RB with the support of the Russian Olympic Committee in Bashkortostan.

Traditionally, within the framework of the Olympic Day, competitions in basketball, football, volleyball, darts, draughts, chess and other sports are conducted.
