Young Ufa athletes will go to International Children's Games in Lithuania

UFA, 19 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. 13 schoolchildren from Ufa will go to the 51st Summer International Children's Games. Competitions of young athletes will be held in the city of Kaunas (Lithuania) from July 4 to 9. Total, the Games will be attended by athletes from 100 cities around the world. The program of the competitions will include track and field athletics, sailing, judo, swimming, table tennis, basketball 3x3, beach volleyball and football. Ufa will be represented in three of them: track and field athletics, judo and basketball 3x3, the city administration reported.

Recently the Lithuanian schoolchildren sent a video greeting to their peers from Ufa.

"We are looking forward to your presence at the International Children's Games in Kaunas. Our gymnasium named after Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin is the only Russian-language school in our city. We will cheer up for you and wish you good luck!", it is said in the message.

Let us recall that in 2019 the International Children's Games will be hosted by the Bashkir capital. Thus, Ufa will be the only city where both Winter and Summer Games were held (Winter ICG were held in Ufa in 2013).
