Rustem Khamitov visited Ufa football club sports facilities

UFA, 25 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On May 24, during a working trip, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, visited the sports facilities of the Ufa football club.
At the Neftyanik Stadium the Head of the Region got acquainted with results of works on creating the supporting infrastructure.
Shamil Gazizov, the General Director of FC Ufa, said that during the past season, redevelopment and repairs had been carried out in the premises of a fitness centre and a cafe, and the necessary equipment had been purchased. Since April 1, 2017, the "Neft" fitness club has been opened, with premises for individual classes and group programs, cycle, cross-training, a weight room, and a massage room.
According to Shamil Gazizov, currently an issue of modernization and expansion of sports facilities in the building of Sports and Recreation Centre is considered, which will allow significantly increasing attendance.
The successful performance of FC Ufa in the Russian Premier League caused a great interest in football among children, boys and girls. Since 2013, the number of pupils going to the sports school has grown from 350 to 950 people, the youngest of which are only four years old. The Head of the Republic got acquainted with a system of football training, visited a training session of young sportsmen, asked about their training conditions.
Rustem Khamitov also visited a training ground of FC Ufa, where a reconstruction program is conducted as part of the preparation program for holding the World Cup in Russia. Next year, it can become a training ground for one of the teams participating in the World Cup.
Currently, there is a construction of a football field with installation of engineering communications and auxiliary facilities in accordance with the FIFA requirements. The total development area will be 25.6 thousand square meters. The training area will include a 105 × 68 m playing field with stands for 500 seats, locker rooms, a press centre and a parking lot. Shamil Gazizov said that the works were conducted in accordance with the schedule, and in September the facility would be put into operation.
At the same time, a three-story building is being reconstructed, where hotel rooms will be provided for accommodation of athletes, as well as summer houses for children's sports camps. After completion of repairs and purchase of necessary equipment, the camp will be able to accommodate 200 children per session. It is planned that the first session will be able to start in July this year.
