Rustem Khamitov congratulated players and leadership of FC Ufa with successful completion of season

UFA, 22 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On May 21 in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, at a meeting with players, coaches and the leadership of the Ufa football club congratulated them on the successful completion of the season.

Earlier FC Ufa in the last 30th round of the Russian Premier League won the FC Ural (Yekaterinburg) with a score of 1: 0, having taken the seventh place in the final standings. This is the best result over the history of the club.

"I want to congratulate you on the remarkable result - our team took the seventh place in the Russian championship. This is a historic achievement. As your fan I, sincerely congratulate you on it!", Rustem Khamitov said.

The Ufa football club was founded on December 23, 2010 on the basis of the Bashinformsvyaz - Dynamo team. Since 2012, the team has participated in the Football National League. Following the results of the FNL Championship season 2013/2014 the Ufa club took the fourth place and in the play-offs won a place in the Premier League.

The first two seasons in the upper division the FC Ufa finished in the 12th place, having retained the right to continue competing in the Premier League. In the season 2016/2017 the team took the seventh place for the first time, becoming one of the strongest clubs in Russia. From 30 matches FC Ufa won 12 victories, played seven draw games and suffered 11 losses, having gained 43 tournament points.
