Russian national team lost for first time at World Hockey Cup 2017 to meet with Czech Republic in quarterfinals

UFA, 17 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. In Germany and France, a preliminary round was completed at the 2017 World Hockey Championship. The Russian national team lost the US team after six victories - 3: 5. The Russian team net was defended by the Ufa trainee, Tampa Bay Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky.

It was a match for the first place in the German group, and Russians failed it in the end.

Thus the Russian team will play against the Czech team in the quarterfinals of the 2017 World Cup on May 18.
